At Mayasoma appointments are intentionally designed to ease you into and out of your treatment, it is important to allow a calm transition so the body/mind can settle and integrate. Appointments will be 15 minutes longer than the allotted treatment time, please make this consideration when booking.
New non-perinatal patients require a referral for an appointment. Please specify in the appointment notes who within the community referred you, otherwise appointments may be subject to cancellation.

Adriane Elliott is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia and a member in good standing with the Registered Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia. Initiated by dance and the intensive study of yogic philosophies and practices, Adriane has been immersed in body-based practices, aligning anatomy with spirit since her youth, and has been practicing bodywork since 2008. The origin of her therapeutic massage practice is Rebalancing Bodywork, an extension of the renowned teachings of Ida Rolf, Milton Trager, Moshe Feldenkrais, and Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. This lineage of work is the foundation of her practice, drawing on the understanding of structural integration and natural alignment. Adriane’s formal training at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy deepened her integration of functional orthopaedic assessment and therapeutic treatment.
The primary focus of Adriane’s practice is perinatal (prenatal & postpartum) therapeutic massage, although not exclusive. With a holistic approach, each treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual to address postural alignment, biomechanical function, pain signals, and nervous system restoration. Treatments are supported with orthopaedic assessment and with a greater understanding of the physiological requirements of our earth bodies, offering supportive, appropriate, and nourishing bodywork. Adriane’s treatments layer a balance of deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, detailed therapeutic and restorative techniques, that assist her clients in obtaining ease in movement and a grounded /centred connection to self in support of thriving life.
Adriane is a Clinical Aromatherapist, a member of the Canadian Alliance of Aromatherapy, and the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists. In her clinical work she focuses on evidence based, therapeutic prenatal/postnatal aromatherapy; providing natural aromatic remedies to some of the uncomfortable symptoms felt during the childbearing continuum. Adriane is also a member of the Doula Services Association of British Columbia. She has also extensively studied postpartum maternal health, with a holistic view of the maternal bodymind.
